Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Fieldwalker ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Fieldwalker is an AI-assisted tool for permaculture design and land mapping. It allows you to upload site images, georeference them, annotate land features, generate topographic contours, and export design documents.

The Service is provided "as is" during its early-access phase. Features, availability, and pricing may change.

3. Your account

• You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of all images and data you upload ("Your Content"). By uploading, you grant Fieldwalker a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process Your Content solely to provide the Service.

You agree not to upload content that:

• Infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
• Contains malicious code or files intended to harm our systems.
• Violates applicable laws or regulations.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service.
• Use the Service to design or facilitate illegal land use.
• Circumvent rate limits or security controls.
• Share your account credentials with others.

6. Elevation data attribution

Contour generation uses elevation data from Geoscience Australia (CC BY 4.0) and/or AWS Terrain Tiles (Mapzen / Tilezen). By using contour features, you acknowledge this data source. Exported maps include attribution in the title bar.

7. Disclaimers

Fieldwalker is a design aid, not a substitute for professional surveying, engineering, or agricultural advice. Contour lines and AI-detected features are approximations and may contain errors. Always verify critical measurements on-site.

The Service is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fieldwalker and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

10. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
